Australian Export Heroes Awards
"There are many facets to
developing an international business culture in Australia. As well as adding to growth of our international trade, the Export Heroes have contributed
to Australia’s image as a progressive member of the international business community and are role models for future generations of Australian
exporters” - Lisa McAuley, CEO Export Council of Australia
The Australian Export Heroes Awards recognise individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to building Australia’s position and performance in International Trade. Created in 1997 as a National event, since then a select groups of very special Australians have received an Australian Export Heroes award.
The Australian Export Heroes Awards recognise and congratulate the champions of Australia’s export community having contributed to building modern export enterprises and helping to further develop a uniquely Australian export culture. The Export Heroes have demonstrated outstanding vision in making a significant and unique impact while achieving success for their organisation, and Australia, in the international marketplace.
Programs that involve the achievement of people are always special. There are a number of factors that make the Australian Export Heroes Awards even more special. People who receive an Export Hero award have fought and won on the international stage. They have made more sacrifices, traveled more miles and spent more time away from home than they would like to remember. They have that magic mix of good business skills blended with loads of passion.
Whether from big established business or from the family farm or factory, they all deserve special recognition for their vision, passion and sheer hard work and the awards presentation will thank them for their unique contribution and we thank their families for their support in what has undoubtedly been an interesting journey.
The Australian Export Heroes awards run by the Export Council of Australia with the support of Austrade and HSBC Bank Australia.

“90% of our business is export based and we are expanding rapidly throughout Asia. As we move into new countries and regions it is important to understand the country, culture and business norms and ECA has helped us do this through their programs. ECA has also helped us improve our shipping and documentation efficiency, especially with the new GHS requirements. Overall, ECA is a wealth of information and knowledge and have always been very helpful when we have specific issues or questions.”
