​Australia Awards Women Trading Globally Program Participant Recognised by Forbes 30 Under 30

In 2019, Siddhi Karnani, co-founder and director of Parvata Foods participated in the Australia Awards Women Trading Globally Program held in Melbourne and Sydney. We congratulate Siddhi on her recent achievement - she has been recognised by Forbes 30 Under 30 – Asia for her work in social entrepreneurship.


Parvata Foods is a socio-commercial enterprise that aims to improve the living standards of farmers in the mountain-locked Indian state of Sikkim and other states in the Himalayan region. Currently, Parvata Foods works with a group of more than 2,200 farmers and runs workshops to introduce modern farming techniques. Its organic farming methods ensure zero chemical usage, safeguarding soil sustainability for safe and healthy produce. Siddhi was also recognised with the Indian Women Achievers Award in 2018 and the National Agripreneur Award in 2017.

Ms Karnani said it was a wonderful experience to be a part of the Australia Awards Women Trading Globally program in 2019. “I believe it has made a life-long impact on me. The learning and exposure that we received there from the trainers, industry experts and also from the amazing people on the cohort, is unparalleled. In more tangible terms, we have already implemented some of the key learning to our business and have seen good results.”
