Consultations begin for Australia's new nation brand
27.06.2018
Businesses are encouraged to have their say on the development of Australia’s new Nation Brand in a series of forums starting around the country this week.
The Turnbull Government is developing a new nation brand to showcase Australia on the world stage and reinforce our reputation as a producer of premium
quality goods and services, an internationally competitive investment destination and a great place to visit and study.
Creating a unified nation brand will help our exporters use Australia's reputation to sell more of their goods and services to the world; driving economic
growth and creating new Australian jobs.
Earlier this month I was pleased to announce the outstanding members of the Nation Brand Advisory Council, being chaired by Mr Andrew Forrest, who will
oversee the development of the new nation brand.
In addition to the Council we are welcoming extensive input from business and the broader community through the nationwide forum series, which have commenced
in Melbourne.
The stakeholder consultation program includes digital and face-to-face sessions in all capital cities to ensure all Australians have the opportunity to
share ideas and collaborate on creating the new brand.
This unifying initiative, applicable across all industries and designed to build on Australia’s already strong standing overseas, will drive Australian
exports, growing our economy and creating more jobs.
