Held in partnership with the Export Council of Australia, the roadshow will feature market briefings on ASEAN markets, as well as panel discussions and
tips for exporters.
NSW Trade and Industry Minister, Niall Blair said the awards are a fantastic platform to celebrate regional exporters making their mark on the world stage.
“Regional NSW is home to some of our State’s most enterprising exports businesses and I encourage companies finding success in international markets to
make submissions for the Premier’s Export Awards.
“In 2016 total NSW exports were valued at $68.5 billion so it’s clear the export market is a key driver of the economy’s success,” he said.
The 2017 awards feature 12 national categories and eight NSW specific awards including - for the first time ever - a NSW Defence Industry award.
Mr Blair said regional NSW is globally renowned for the diversity of the state’s export offering.
“From Lismore to the Snowies and all the way out west, our regional export economy is thriving. Our reputation for producing high quality goods and services
gets stronger by the day and we’re focused on continued growth in the sector,” he said.
“I encourage regional exporters to get involved in the Premier’s awards in 2017 to have your global success recognised by the sector”.
The NSW Export Awards Regional Roadshow visits Orange on Wednesday at the Orange ex-services club, 231-243 Anson Street, Orange.
Further roadshows will take place in Albury
