Apply now for the 2017 WA Industry & Export Awards

The Export Council of Australia (ECA), with the WA Department of Commerce and our valued award partners, are pleased to announce that applications for the 2017 Western Australian Industry & Export Awards are now open.

Last night, a launch event was hosted by award partner Deloitte, with more than 90 local exporters industry representatives gathered to participate in a vigorous panel discussion about increasing market access for trade. Special guests included representatives from some of Western Australia’s top exporters including Dr Richard Lipscombe, Managing Director of Proteomics International, last year’s WA Exporter of the Year award winner.

Key note speaker for the event, Hon Bill Johnston MLA, Minister for Mines and Petroleum; Commerce and Industrial Relations; Electoral Affairs; Asian Engagement acknowledged the tremendous effort made by local exporters and officially launched the opening of the 2017 Industry & Export Awards.

CEO of the ECA, Ms Lisa McAuley, said that as one of Australia’s most enterprising export recognition programs, the ECA was delighted to once again identify new and established innovative companies contributing to Western Australia’s economic future.
“The awards program is open to all companies engaged in international business activities, regardless of size or location in WA, and is a fantastic opportunity for any business to raise their profile both in Australia and overseas.”

“With 12 national award categories, three WA specific categories, and three Industry categories available we encourage all companies engaged in international and industry business activities to stand up and be recognised.”

“The Western Australian Industry & Export Awards is about rewarding businesses that have shown a commitment and determination to grow their global business and who, against adversity, seek new innovative ways to compete on the international stage,” Ms McAuley said.

Applications for the Awards are now open through to 7 August 2017. Award finalists will be notified in September, with winners announced at an awards presentation dinner on 26 October 2017 at The Hyatt Regency, Perth.
